Reimagining City Logistics: Designing Hyperconnected Urban Networks
03.03.2026 15:0016:00Speaker: Walid Klibi is Professor of Supply Chain Management and Analytics at Kedge Business School (France), and a founding member of its Center of Excellence in Supply Chain (CESIT), since 2011. He obtained his Ph.D. in Business Administration at Laval University’s Business School in Canada in 2009. He has since 2020 a habilitation degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Bordeaux in France. His research interests relate primarily to Supply Chain design, resilience and robustness, distribution in omnichannel retailing, and hyperconnected urban logistics, with a focus on stochastic modeling and optimization. Most of his research work is carried out in partnership with international companies in parcel logistics, warehousing, retailing, pharmaceutical, and aeronautical sectors. He is co-author of several international scientific and professional articles, and of an “award-winning” book in the field of Supply Chain, entitled “The Design of Value-Creating Supply Chain Networks”. He is currently appointed as a research affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics (USA), an affiliated faculty of the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute – Physical Internet Center – Georgia Tech (USA), and a collaborating member of the Interuniversity Research Center on Business Networks, Logistics and Transport (CIRRELT) in Canada.
