New solution
Security
It is important to note that the solution has received special attention and regular monitoring from the entities responsible for IT security at EPFL. It was designed and implemented according to the principle of privacy by design, whose seven pillars (lawfulness, purpose limitation, proportionality, relevance, limited retention period, security & confidentiality, and documentation of data processing/use) serve as its foundation. Moreover, the solution is developed, hosted, and maintained in Switzerland.
From a more technical perspective, communications are end-to-end encrypted, and data at rest is also encrypted. Electronic signatures comply with the Swiss Federal Law on Electronic Signatures (SCSE), and the act of signing documents is carried out by recognized certification service providers.
The IT Services Department (DSI) remains at your disposal via [email protected] for any questions or additional information you may have regarding this solution.
