EPFL Archives : practical informations

From day-to-day records to permanent archives, the EPFL Archives assist central administrative offices, faculty units, and laboratories in identifying relevant documents and preparing them for transfer, with the aim of ensuring their long-term preservation and helping to pass on EPFL’s heritage to future generations.
All documents evolve over time through a three-stage lifecycle, regardless of their format:

Anyone working at EPFL who creates or receives documents is required to organize and retain them in accordance with current guidelines and legislation. This applies to administrative activities as well as research and teaching activities.
Each employee is responsible for organizing and retaining the relevant documents and information they produce in the course of their work at EPFL.
