Commuting

At EPFL, there are more bicycles than cars! This result was made possible thanks to the implementation of an ambitious and innovative mobility plan.

Public transport

The EPFL campus is connected to surrounding towns by the M1 metro, the TL and MBC buses. It is located close to the Lausanne, Renens and Morges railway stations.

Bikes

Several services are available, such as the Point Vélo, PubliBike stations, cargobikes and numerous parking spaces.

Parkings

Vehicles and parkings

EPFL provides its employees and visitors with Mobility car-sharing, charging stations for electric vehicles and shared or reserved parking spaces.

“Campus Piéton” Project

A greener, more user-friendly campus, better adapted to climate change: this is the aim of the “Campus Piéton” (Pedestrian Campus) project, to which the EPFL community is called upon to contribute from 2022.

EPFL Mobility Survey

Since 2003, EPFL carries out an annual mobility survey on students and staff. This survey aims to observe and understand the evolution of EPFL students and staff mobility practices, and to assess the environmental footprint generated by commuting to and from the campus.
