Web application development – WeNet Mexico 2022

Description of the internship

The aim of this project is to build a web application to support the development of the WeNet project in Mexico (https://www.internetofus.eu/). The application will use the WeNet platform to help explore and characterise obesogenic environments, i.e. environments that encourage obesity and overweight. The project is motivated by the obesity epidemic affecting young people in Mexico. The project will be carried out within the You-i Lab and is in line with MDG 3.

Description of the organization

The Instituto Potosino de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica, A.C. (www.ipicyt.edu.mx) is one of 26 public research centres in Mexico funded by the National Science and Technology Council in 2000. IPICYT is home to five university departments: Nanoscience and Materials, Control and Dynamic Systems, Environmental Science, Applied Systems and Geosciences. It is also home to the National Supercomputing Centre for CONACyT.
