If you are residing in Switzerland you are obliged by law to have a Swiss driving license (see the related article). There is a probational period of one year from the date you arrive in Switzerland.
You are also obliged to import your car within this year. It is possible to arrive in Switzerland with your car and decide within the first year if you want to keep it or not.
