We currently have 2 thesis projects to propose for Fall 2021
1) Cytoplasmic delivery of DNA nanomaterials using microfluidics
In this project, you will use state of the art microfluidics technology to explore the delivery of DNA based nano materials into the cytoplasm of cells. The project teaches you how to make DNA nanomaterials, work with microfluidics, and perform cellular characterisation.
2) Investigation of cell-material interactions
In this project, you will analyse the organization of the cytoskeleton upon interaction with different DNA based nanomaterials. We study the ligand-receptor interaction involved in cellular adhesion and the role of surface patterns on the cellular response. You will create DNA nanomaterials, culture cells, and perform microscopy analysis.
