CLAIRE LOGOZ

HEAD OF DESIGN RESEARCH

Claire Logoz is an architect who graduated from EPFL in 2021, with a research focusing on the performativity of the built environment. She co-created that same year the practice detritus. whose research playfully explores a variety of recurring obsessions, including performativity, pop culture, double-space, counter-projects, written norms, moratoriums, post-modernism, bricolage, New York, sampling, human bodies, moving elements, foldings, retirement homes, collecting, and conjuring tricks. This list is not exhaustive.

Claire is also active in the pedagogic field and has been involved in the teaching and planning of several courses at EPFL, from graphic figuration and art fundaments Y1 courses to the Y5 master Superstudio Latent Futures. She was part of the DRAG(UE)’s teaching team, which introduces the notions of performativity and gender in the built environment, and has taught within ALICE Y1 as a studio director.

Claire is now ALICE’s Head of Design Research and follows the lab’s master projects as mentor.
