Accident insurance is mandatory for anyone living in Switzerland.
As a student:
- if you work for the same employer for at least 8 hours per week, you are automatically insured against professional and non-professional accidents by your employeer.
- If you are not in this situation, you will have to take out an accident cover as part of your compulsory health insurance.
