EPFL scholarships, allowance and grants
Bachelor
This scholarship supports EPFL students nominated for a one-year-long exchange during their 3rd year Bachelor.
Master
A scholarship or allowance is available to EPFL students undertaking a Master’s thesis in one of EPFL’s European partner institution.
Doctorate
This grant provides financial support to EPFL doctoral candidates seeking to enhance their scientific and professional profile through a 3–6 month research stay at an academic institution abroad.

Amgen Scholars Programme
The biotechnological programme covers nine weeks of intensive research in a state-of-the art laboratory in Zurich or Basel.
Bertarelli Foundation
Allows students to carry out their Master’s project within an Harvard Medical School-affiliated laboratory.
EducationUSA Advising Center
EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network that promotes U.S. higher education to students around the world.
ETH Robotics Student Fellowship
An opportunity for graduate students to research alongside experts on the specific topic of robotics of their choice.
ETH SSRF: Computer Science
Open to undergraduate and graduate students. The fellowship is provided by ETH Zurich.
Heinrich J. Klein Foundation
Supports students for temporary scientific stays abroad like the attendance of a summer school.
Heyning-Roelli Foundation
Provides financial support to talented but financially underprivileged students to study abroad (travel and subsistence expenses).
Severin B. Hacker Fellowships
The Severin B. Hacker Fellowships allow students to carry out their Master’s thesis at Carnegie Mellon University.
Swiss Study Foundation
Offers various scholarships to outstanding students to contribute towards studying abroad, attending conferences, internships and other projects.

Berrow Foundation

Fulbright Grant Program Switzerland
Offers students and scholars with Swiss citizenship and English proficiency funding to pursue studies at the master’s or Ph.D. level or to teach and do research at post-doctoral level at any recognized institution of higher education in the United States.
Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships
The scholarship program is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school.
McCall MacBain Foundation
