Double Deck

The Double Deck project includes the transformation of the Esplanade and the renovation of the Coupole. Located at the heart of the campus, this project will be a central element in the future of education at EPFL.

It will also bring about some changes for campus users during the four years of construction, from 2025 to 2029.

Double Deck: Preparatory Work

— Preparatory work for the Double Deck construction site is progressing steadily, without disrupting revision or exam periods.

Double Deck: Relocation of the Bicycle Parking

— The Esplanade bicycle parking (152 spaces) has been relocated to Chemin du Barrage, on former car parking spots.

Double Deck: Relocation of the Food Truck Village

— As part of the forthcoming works linked to the Double Deck project on the Esplanade, the Food Truck Village (6 FoodTrucks) currently installed on route des Noyerettes (in front of the MED) will be moved to Place Cosandey opposite the Agora.

— A sensitivity map was developed in collaboration with infrastructure managers, taking into account rooms housing sensitive equipment or animals.
