Construction of ecological dry toilets

Description of the internship

The project involves building ecological dry toilets in villages in the rural communes of Kpélé and Kouma. The project is part of a plan to provide sanitation in public areas and improve health conditions in rural areas. The aim of the project is to reduce the risk of disease among the population and to work towards protecting the environment.

Planned activities :

  • Participate in the installation of ecological latrines
  • Suggest improvements as part of the project

Duration of the internship: 2 months or more
Location: Kpélé et Kouma, Togo
Accommodation provided: The Association undertakes to help the trainee find accommodation.
Meals provided: Members of the Association will help the trainee find good places to eat.

Description of the organization

Les PERma-Jardins du Togo (PERJAT) is a non-profit Togolese development association based in Togo, with around ten years of experience in rural Togo (the communes of Kouma and Kpélé). It works on sustainable agricultural development issues (agroecology, agroforestry, medicinal plants, family farming) and humanitarian projects (water and sanitation, education). All our projects have a common goal:
to contribute to the sustainable improvement of living conditions for rural populations.
