LES CULTURELLES

4 to 11 May 2026
EPFL Campus

Launched in 2022, Les Culturelles returns in spring from 4 to 11 May 2026  with a new edition exploring, through the lens of the arts and the humanities, some of the key questions shaping our world.

For one week, the campus will come alive with dance, performance, film screenings, contemporary art, music, and public conversationsdesigned to spark reflection, emotion, and dialogue. The event brings artists directly onto campus and invites students to take part in collective, participatory experiences.

PROGRAMMATION ARCHIZOOM

Tuesday 5 May 2026, 5.30-6.30pm
Guided tour of the exhibitions Une éducation au réel, by Prof. Nicola Braghieri and Des Cèdres à Dorigny. Bâtir l’école d’architecture, by Barbara Galimberti, Archivist at the Archives de la construction moderne

We invite you to join us for a dynamic guided tour of two exhibitions at Archizoom. From Des Cèdres à Dorigny. Bâtir l’école d’architecture, the exhibition traces the birth and evolution of the School of Architecture, from its early days within the EPUL to its integration into the Campus. A journey based on projects preserved in the Archives of Modern Construction that puts into perspective the conditions of architectural education and its relationship with engineering.

As for the exhibition Une éducation au réel, l’Atelier Cantàfora à l’EPFL, it features around a hundred paintings and educational works created between 1997 and 2007 in the teaching units led by the painter Arduino Cantàfora. These depictions—ranging from architecture to locomotives, insects, and skeletons—suggest that drawing and painting give structure to a concept and serve as an essential language for expressing the founding idea of a project.
