BIOGRAPHIES

Jennifer Newsom and Tom Carruthers are architects, artists, and co-founders of Dream The Combine, based in Ithaca, NY and Minneapolis, MN. Together, they have produced numerous site-specific installations in the U.S. and Canada that explore metaphor, perceptual uncertainties, and the boundary between real and illusory space. Dream The Combine are winners of the 2022-2023 Rome Prize in Architecture, the 2022 United States Artists Fellowship in Architecture and Design, the 2021 McKnight Fellowship for Visual Artists, the 2020-2021 J. Irwin and Xenia S. Miller Prize, the 2018 Young Architects Program at MoMA PS1, the 2018 Art Omi Architecture Residency, and the 2017 FSP/Jerome Foundation Fellowship.

Amy Perkins is an architect and founding member of London-based Assemble Studio, and a member of CARTHA Magazine’s editorial board. She also serves as a teaching and research assistant with Tom Emerson’s Chair for Architecture and Design at ETH Zurich’s Department of Architecture and as visiting professor at EPFL Lausanne’s School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering.
