The following procedure does not apply to laboratories within IC and STI. If you are interested in joining one of these laboratories, please contact them directly.
Application for semester projects
Phase 1
Physics laboratories will submit their available projects through the EPFL SB Student Projects platform between June 16 and July 10, 2026 (until 23:59).
Phase 2
From July 11 to August 17, 2026 (until 23:59), you will be able to select and rank your preferred projects in order of preference. Please ensure that you meet all stated requirements, including the minimum number of different laboratories and projects selected. Failure to do so will prevent the system from assigning you to a laboratory.
Phase 3
Between August 19 and August 31, 2026 (until 23:59), professors will rank the students who have applied to their projects. The system will then perform the final matching based on the preferences and rankings submitted.
Phase 4
You will be informed of the laboratory to which you have been assigned on September 2, 2026.
