Programme

The three-year Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (180 ECTS credits) trains versatile architects by combining theory and practice. Through courses on design, urban planning and sustainable construction, students develop critical and creative thinking, alternating between theory, practical exercises and immersion in the workshop. Access to facilities such as the model workshop and specialised library enriches the academic experience. The programme, spread over six semesters, includes interdisciplinary courses in engineering and humanities. Students can also participate in a university exchange in their third year. A presentation day before the start of the academic year allows students to discover the ‘Project Theory and Criticism’ studios, which can be chosen in the second (annual) and third (semester) years, supervised by professors and guest lecturers.

Admissions are managed by the Academic Service (SAC). The Bachelor’s in Architecture page provides a general overview. For official and detailed information, please refer to the EPFL reference page.
