Martin Rajman

Born 1962 in Pilsen, Czech Republic, Martin RAJMAN graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST, Paris). Research assistant from 1987 to 1988 at the Computing Research Laboratory (Las Cruces, USA), he then obtained a PhD in computational linguistics at ENST-Paris. In March 1992, M. RAJMAN joined the permanent teaching and research staff of the ENST as member of the Artificial Intelligence Group, responsible for the Natural Language activity. He launched several research projects, especially in the domain of Distributional Semantics based Information Retrieval and Probabilistic Parsing. Since September 1996, M. RAJMAN is member of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where he is in charge of the development of a research and teaching activity in the domain of Natural Language.
