Who can get tested?

The EPFL testing center is open, by appointment only, to the entire university community as well as residents of surrounding areas. Only people 12 years of age or older can be tested.

Making an appointment

For a COVID certificate, you can make an appointment directly online

Free saliva tests are offered to people without a COVID certificate so that they can attend classes, exercise sessions and practicals in person, and access the RLC library. The temporary pass you get from these tests will be valid for one week (seven days) throughout the fall semester and during the winter exam session as well.

Students, assistants and teachers who were vaccinated in another country or who are waiting for their second dose can get a temporary pass that will be valid for the rest of the semester and for the exam session. To get the semester pass, please take the relevant documents to the EPFL testing center.

For a free saliva test (valid one week or for the semester), you can make an appointment directly online. The EPFL platform only allows you to make an appointment for pooled saliva tests to obtain an EPFL temporary pass. For all other tests, please make an appointment here.

In case of symptoms, you should only make an appointment if the Coronavirus Check evaluation recommends you get tested, or you receive an alert from the SwissCovid app.
