By 2020, the HES-SO Valais Wallis School of Engineering will join the rue d’Industrie in the extension of the EPFL Valais Wallis building. An investment of 179 million francs will allow the establishment of three degree programs and engineering research institutes.

ALPOLE- Centre of research on alpine and extreme environments – Developed with the support of the Canton of Valais, ALPOLE is the second stage of the EPFL Valais Wallis Campus.
CRR – Clinique romande de réadaptation
The Defitech Chair in Translational Neuroengineering (Prof. Firedhelm Hummel, Neuro X Institute) is partly based at the Clinique Romande de Réadaptation where it develops new approaches for rehabilitation after stroke. In parallel, Prof. Courtine (Neuro X Institute) jointly exploits with CRR a Walk laboratory (Ryzen robot for rehabilitation).
