Semester: 17 bit ADC testing

Main duties and responsibilities include :
Operate the testing infrastructure to measure the performance of a custom ADC IC and report the measurement result 
  • Design/implement PCB for testing
  • Configure/automate an optimal test setup for the ADC
  • Report findings as publication-worthy figures and tables
Your profile:
  • Strong desire to learn about ADC design
  • Dedicate >2 full working days per week on Neuchâtel campus
    (travel cost covered by the MSIC lab)
  • Excellent knowledge of the following topics:
    • electronic devices
    • circuit theory
    • noise theory
    • frequency response
    • analog circuits design
  • Necessary skills:
    • Familiarity with scripting in Python
    • Familiarity with using PCB design suite (Altium)
  • Preferred skills
    • Knowledge of testing over GPIB / LAN
    • Fluency in using Cadence Virtuoso Suite
    • Fluency in using SPICE simulators (HSPICE, FineSim, AFS, etc.)
