Cèsar Sierra

“I am a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Neuroepigenetics led by Johannes Gräff at EPFL. I have always been interested in understanding the mechanisms involved in gene expression regulation, which I have studied in different levels and fields, from microbiology to cancer.

During my PhD at the Dierssen lab in the Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG, Barcelona) I focused on studying the contribution of epigenetic deregulation to the cognitive impairments Down syndrome. This experience triggered my interest on the role of neuroepigenetics in cognition and ultimately motivated me to join the Gräff lab, where I aim at studying the molecular fingerprint of contextual memories.”
