The Central Environmental Laboratory has started tackling the problematic of microplastics as early as 2010, following two axes. One focuses on the detection and the fate of microplastics in the aquatic environment and living organims. The second axis focuses more specifically on the interactions between microplastics and micropollutants in water and biological fluids.
