An Analytical Framework for Project Management in PhD Research and Beyond

A PhD is a challenging journey in which efficient problem-solving is key to making it both productive and fulfilling. Your objective is not only to answer your scientific questions but also to address broader challenges, such as effectively communicating your vision of problems, solutions, and results or making informed career choices.
Mastering clear and effective problem-solving techniques will help you structure your thoughts, accelerate the progress of your scientific projects, and navigate related challenges in the future.
During this training, you will learn how to:
- identify, formally analyze, and communicate both scientific and non-scientific problems
- evaluate different strategies for solving these problems
- facilitate and effectively integrate both objective data analyses and subjective insights (e.g., colleagues’ input) into your strategies
We will illustrate these techniques through actual use cases that you may currently face or encounter in the future, ranging from experimental design strategies to career choices, as well as one of your own real problems.
This training will equip you with essential skills to enhance your PhD experience and effectively develop projects in any environment.
