The musical preparation of the orchestra is carried out by the Konzertmeister-in, who is appointed for each programme by the commitee.
Angelina Zurzolo
Angelina began playing the violin at the age of 5 at the Conservatoire de Courbevoie, then joined the Conservatoire de Boulogne Billancourt in the class of Cyril Ghestem (violinist at the Paris Opera). In 2015, she obtained her Violin Prize with distinction, and then continued her studies with Pierre-Olivier Queyras at the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison. She obtained a prize of Excellence in Violin and joined the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in the class of Sergey Ostrovsky. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy, and continued her training at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne in the Master of Interpretation-Concert in the class of Virginie Robilliard.
In 2008 she won a second prize at the Vatelot-Rampal Competition.
Her passion for orchestral practice led her to perform with the orchestra Les Siècles, conducted by François-Xavier Roth, but also with the Victor Hugo Franche-Comté Orchestra. Since 2018, she has performed with the instrumental ensemble Histoires de Musique.
In 2020, she was appointed Konzertmeisterin of our orchestra, and is also the musical director of this orchestral ensemble. Angelina plays on a “Samuel Nemessanyi” violin from 1880, on loan from the Fondation Lalive.
