Humanitarian aid collection for Ukraine

Collection point at Esplanade with our association’s mascot (AKULA means “shark” in Ukrainian)

On the 7th and 8th of April, a collection of humanitarian aid for Ukrainians was held in front of the AGEPoly shop on the Esplanade. Although the weather was not good and despite the unfortunate rain, the collection of the aid went successfully.

During these two days, we collected items for kids and babies, long-shelf-life food, clothes, hygiene goods, medical supplies, outdoor survival goods, goods for pets, and others. We would like to express our deep appreciation to all the people who were not indifferent and brought whatever they could.

Finally, all the items were shipped from Switzerland to the people who are affected by the invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. It was done by the volunteer organization HelpUA which we thank a lot.

We want to give a special thanks to Olexiy Kochubey who was the head of organizing this event. Additionally, we thank EPFL and AGEPoly for all the technical support they gave and we thank everyone who volunteered and helped with the collection and sorting of the gathered goods.
