Faculty position in Green Synthesis and Bioengineering

The Schools of Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and Life Sciences at EPFL invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor to hold the Lonza Chair in Green Synthesis and Bioengineering as part of a joint position within the Institutes of Chemical Sciences and Engineering (ISIC) and of Bioengineering (IBI).  

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the development of transformative green chemistry methods, in particular by the design of synthetic biology pathways, via metabolic engineering and/or by the development of in silico and artificial intelligence approaches. Applications of interest include bioengineering solutions for the development of environment-friendly and/or high-throughput chemical synthesis tools, pharmaceutical compounds and biologics. 

Candidates should be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
