PLEXUS Program

Introduction

PLEXUS is a strategic program mandated by the Academic Vice-Presidency and managed by the Information Systems Domain (DSI). Its objective is to modernize and improve applications and equipments dedicated to education and teaching at EPFL.
The program is aimed at a wide audience, i.e. anyone involved in education, and more specifically students and professors, in order to offer a modern and improved educational experience.

The program targets all people involved in education, particularly students and professors, to provide a modern and enhanced educational experience.

What is involved in the PLEXUS program?

SIS: Student Information System

Two initiatives running in parallel

The PLEXUS program is divided into two distinct strands which are being run in parallel by the Information Systems Domain (DSI), with completion scheduled for the end of 2028.

A project to replace the “IS-Academia” tool, which provides full management of the student academic journey: from admission to graduation, including courses, exams, as well as mobility and internship opportunities.

A set of projects to renew and/or replace the infrastructures that support teaching (servers managing virtual desktops, auditorium projectors, auditorium control systems, etc.).
