Global Ethics and Partnerships Committee (GEP)

Mission

The Global Ethics and Partnerships Committee advises the EPFL Direction and the Presidency on general ethical issues in connection with proposals for collaborations, partnerships, training courses, contracts and donations/sponsorship with the EPFL research community.

  • the Associate Vice-President for Research (co-Chair)
  • the Director of Management Affairs & Development (co-Chair)
  • the Associate Vice-President for Doctoral and Lifelong Education
  • the Associate Vice-President for Education
  • the VPI Director of Industrial Affairs or their delegate
  • the Director of the Research Office or their delegate
  • the Director of International Affairs or their delegate
  • the Director of the Legal Affairs or their delegate
  • the Director of the Technology Transfer Office or their delegate
  • the Director of the Philantropy Office or their delegate
  • an EPFL collaborator with expertise in ethical, social and environmental risk analysis

The committee may also invite other participants to its meetings, on an ad hoc basis.
