The Vice President for Academic Affairs defines the research strategy and delegates its operational management to the Associated Vice Presidency for Research (AVP-R) and Associated Vice Presidency for Centers and Platforms (AVP-CP).
EPFL is home to over 500 laboratories and research groups, each working at the forefront of science and technology. EPFL provides them with professional facilities and expert advice in the fields of ethics, intellectual property and technology transfer.
Each EPFL School undergoes a peer review every eight years. The centres are reviewed every four years.
