The Bernoulli Center for Fundamental Studies had the pleasure of organising the 2025 Assyr Abdulle Lecture, a public event held in memory of Prof. Assyr Abdulle, former EPFL faculty member at the Mathematics Institute (2009–2021).

Kartik Waghmare completed his PhD in statistics in 2023 under the supervision of Professor Victor Panaretos. His research at EPFL, tackled foundational challenges in statistical theory and functional analysis.

Martin Hairer joins Simons collaboration on Quantum Field Theory

Professor Martin Hairer, a mathematician at the EPFL School of Basic Sciences, has joined a global collaboration by the Simons Foundation that will work toward a unified probabilistic foundation for quantum field theory.
