The following projects are available for undergraduate and Master students to participate, working closely with PhD students and PIs.
(1) Degradation of plastics in anaerobic digestion (Collaboration with Dr. Horst Pick)
(2) Enrichment of methane-oxidizing bacteria at <500 ppm methane concentration for greenhouse gas removal (Collaboration with Dr Adrian Ho, Nestle)
(3) Enrichment and isolation of primary fermenter bacteria from anaerobic digestion at “extreme” pH
(4) Investigating the physiology of CO2-reducing microbes for carbon-neutral, renewable chemical synthesis
