Pontresina bridge

Pontresina, Switzerland, 1997

  • Temporary lightweight pedestrian bridge, installed each year in the fall and removed in the spring
  • Two truss girder spans 2×12.50 m, adhesively-bonded joints in one span (fully load-bearing), bolted in the other span
  • Additional structural safety through redundant truss and joint configuration
