Rental
UNTIL THE END OF NOVEMBER WHEN THE NEW COMMITTEE IS FORMED, THE GEAR RENTAL WILL NOT BE OPERATIONAL – sincere apologies!
Some of the equipment of the club is available for rent.
To rent (or return) equipment, come to the Club Montagne room in CM0416 (see map below) according to the following schedule:
- From 12:45 to 13:00 on Mondays
- From 12:45 to 13:00 on Thursdays
We accept cash only. If possible, bring the exact amount or some change.
The rental it is on a first-come first-served basis, we don’t do bookings of equipment!
The sanitairy pass is required for renting material.

Rental Rules
Who
Individual members of the Club Montagne EPFL. You can only rent equipment for yourself and not for other people. If you intend to organize an event for a group and need gear for more participants than just yourself, please contact us upfront so that we can discuss this particular event.
Deposit
A deposit is needed for every item in order to avoid losses and other problems with the gear. The amount is specified for each item.
The deposit is given back when the gear is returned, provided that the returned equipment is in appropriate condition.
Rental during activities organized by the club
Rental equipment is free only for indoor climbing events organized by the Mountain Club. The deposit will still be required.
The activities concerned are:
- Rocspot on Monday
- Totem on Monday
- The cube on Friday
Damage
If you damage or destroy the rented equipment, you’ll have to pay for repairing or replacing it.
Some or all of the deposit may be used for repairs. If the deposit does not cover all fees, a surplus will be requested.
