Our Objectives and Mission
EPFL relies on a multidisciplinary team dedicated to promoting health, prevention, and well-being within its community. Doctors, hygienists, nurses, and social counsellors provide advice, care, and training to help maintain a balanced and reassuring environment.
In parallel, the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team ensures laboratory safety by conducting risk analyses, audits, and delivering both mandatory basic (FOBS) and specialised training. This guarantees a working environment that meets applicable standards and is tailored to everyone’s activities.
Collectively, these measures help safeguard the health, safety, and quality of life on campus.

Health

Laboratory Safety
Our teams work daily to ensure a safe working environment in laboratories. They offer guidance, carry out risk analyses and audits, and provide training to encourage accountability in matters of workplace safety and health.
Safety Training
We organise Mandatory Basic Safety Training (FOBS) for everyone whose activities involve potential hazards, ensuring a solid foundation in prevention and protection.
