The File Transfer Service (FTS) is based on a commercial product (VShell Enterprise Server) using standard security algorithms. The access is available with two kind of protocols:
- Hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS)
- SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP)
- Transfer data securely with partners outside the EPFL
- SFTP protocol supports resuming of file transfers
