Juliette Beaubis

Juliette Beaubis obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2022 and 2025, respectively. During her Master’s studies, she developed a particular interest in medical physics and biomedical imaging. Her Master’s project was carried out at the Center for Proton Therapy of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), where she investigated secondary cancer risk associated with imaging in adaptive proton therapy using Monte Carlo simulations and medical imaging data. She subsequently completed a research internship at the Microstructure Mapping Laboratory at UNIL–CHUV, where she contributed to numerical modelling and Monte Carlo diffusion simulations to investigate the influence of neuronal microstructure on MRI signals.

In 2026, she joined the CIBM Center for Biomedical Imaging as an EPFL Physics PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Bernard Lanz and Dr. Cristina Cudalbu. Her current research focuses on developing a multimodal approach combining magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) and positron emission tomography (PET) in the brain to characterize metabolic alterations associated with hepatic encephalopathy.
