Welcome to Anna and Arthur!

— We are very pleased to welcome new GBF team members. Anna Piceni joined our group for an internship in the frame of her training as Chemistry Laboratory Assistant. She will stay with us until August 2025. In the frame of the preparation of his double degree from ENS-Lyon (France) and EPFL, Arthur Roudaut joined our group for a 40 days research internship. He will work on the development of DNA biosensors based on functionalized borosilicate slides.

— We are very pleased to share that Pauline Skigin has joined our group on 01.01.2024 for her PhD studies.

Adrian passed his PhD thesis exam, congratulations!

— We are very pleased to share that Adrian Gheata passed his PhD thesis oral exam on December 19th 2023. His thesis entitled " Functionalization of Harmonic Nanoparticles for Drug Release and Multimodal Imaging Applications" was reviewed by a committee composed of MER Dr Ruud Hovius (jury president), Profs Inge Herrmann and Olivier Mongin (external reviewers) and Prof. Kay Severin (internal reviewer). We are very grateful to the members of the jury for the time spent on the evaluation of the thesis manuscript and their participation in the oral exmaination.

Anna is awarded a SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowship!

— We are very pleased to share that Anna Poryvai was awarded a SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowship (SPF) to develop her project entitled "First photocaged radicals for biochemical applications" in our group.

  • François and Solène were the winners of the best contribution at the XXII International Conference on Bioencapsulation, Bratislava, Slovakia, September 17-19, for their poster entitled “Modification of alginate-based hydrogel microspheres for cell microencapsulation: comparison of one- and two-component hydrogel microspheres”. Congratulations!
  • Solène received the runner up Award for the Best Poster at the Swiss Chemical Society Fall Meeting 2014, Zürich, September 11, for her contribution entitled “Functionalization of second harmonic nanoparticles with inhibitors of prolyl-endopeptidases for cancer cells labelling and imaging”. Congratulations!
  • Lionel Schouwey and Julien Sautaux joined our group for their master projects. Welcome!
