Design, synthesis and characterization of bio-sourced, isocyanate-free polyurethanes (NIPUs)
Our group offers a multidisciplinary Master’s project (PDM) position for the spring semester 2027. The project aims to develop sustainable, isocyanate-free polyurethanes from bio-based building blocks obtained through the valorization of ammonia-rich waste streams using microalgae. The position will focus on the synthesis and characterization of functionalized bio-based monomers and their polymerization through polycondensation to produce non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPUs).
