Doctoral Program Thesis Distinction
Every 2 years, in order to highlight the excellence of our doctoral candidates’ research work and scientific merit, the EDMT doctoral program grants an EPFL Distinction for exceptionally high quality theses. Some members of the EDMT committee carefully evaluates the theses of nominees who defended and passed their oral exam and rewards the top 10%. The laureates receive a diploma and a gift.
EDMT Kilian Schindler Excellence Award
This prize was created in 2020 to honor the memory and life of Kilian Schindler, a doctoral student in Management of Technology at EPFL, who passed away on May 16, 2020.
The Kilian Schindler Excellence Award is attributed once a year to the author of an outstanding doctoral thesis in the Doctoral Program of Management of Technology (EDMT) at the College of Management of Technology (CDM).
A jury composed of EDMT faculty decides about a laureate who will receive the award in a ceremony organized at EPFL. Financial sponsorship is provided by Kilian Schindler’s family who will also invite the winner (and guest) for a weekend in Zurich to spend quality time with them and exchange ideas over a nice dinner.
