ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a non-for-profit organization supported by members (universities and research institutions, funders, publishers, professional associations, etc.). ORCID provides a permanent and unique identifier that can be associated with the names of anyone involved in research, innovation or academic activities. The advantage of having an ORCID identifier is to ensure a better interoperability between the different platforms where bibliographic references and biographical details are recorded.
