Important coronavirus (COVID-19) information

- The Library and the Rolex Learning Center are only accessible to EPFL students (reservation required).
The Library offers all its users the opportunity to pick up and return documents on site. These documents may be from the EPFL collections or reserved documents in the NEBIS network. It is necessary to make an appointment to come and collect your documents.
EPFL members: benefit from and easy loan and access to collections (on-demand printed standards pick-up, digitized articles and book chapters sent by email).
Specific measures for lecturers
In addition to the general measures taken by the Library, specific measures apply to lecturers.
• Feel free to contact your liaison librarian with a list of titles to find out if they are available or can be purchased in an online version.
• You can use the educational exception to deposit book extracts or articles in a closed moodle group.
• You can deposit handouts from your courses on Infoscience, with open or restricted access to EPFL members. As a reminder, the respect of copyright and citation in the handouts is the responsibility of the teacher. Do not hesitate to contact [email protected] for advice and proofreading.

Open Science initiative
EPFL Library participates to the EPFL global initivative to support Open Science.
Link your ORCID profile with EPFL!
Using the new ORCID Integration at EPFL web application, EPFL researchers can now link their EPFL profiles and ORCID Records. Do you want to display your ORCID iD on your people.epfl.ch page? Do you want to insert your EPFL affiliation into your ORCID resume? Use our online application to take care of both, and forget about boring copy-and-paste!
A 4-year national agreement with publisher Elsevier
In the frame of the Swiss national strategy on Open Access, the first transformative agreement Read & Publish with the publisher Elsevier has been nationally negotiated by swissuniversities and signed by Swiss institutions for 4 years (2020-2023). EPFL affiliated authors can now publish in Open Access at no cost in more than 2,000 hybrid and fully Gold Open Access journals. EPFL community will have an unlimited access to Elsevier articles.
