The Queens of Structure exhibition, held from May 12 to June 9, 2025, invited visitors to discover the diversity of the civil engineering profession through portraits and projects by some 20 women working in the field, including three EFPL alumnae. The curator, researcher Maléna Bastien Masse, who completed her thesis at EPFL, explained the approach in an interview.
Photographer Elisabetta Citterio’s STEM passion exhibition, organized as part of the events surrounding International Women’s Rights Day on March 8, 2023, featured portraits of international female researchers, including seven female EPFL professors chosen as role models.
On the occasion of the International Womenâs Day on March 8, a series of inspirational events were proposed on the EPFL campus around the theme âMake Way For Women!â: Talks, workshops, comedy show⊠And the official naming ceremony of several squares and streets of the campus after the names of women scientists proposed by the members of the EPFL community.
CONTINUUM exhibition intertwines personal stories, scientific knowledge and photographic portraits around the continuum of gender and sexualities.

Female Leadership in Science portraits 50 women professors at EPFL, at the occasion of EPFLâs 50th anniversary. The portraits will be displayed on two main buildings on the EPFL Campus from 14 September until 30 November 2019.

Lunch events for female administative and technical staff
With âMy career at EPFLâ, the Equal Opportunity Office offers a series of lunch events aimed more specifically at administrative and technical staff.
