On the occasion of ‘La Nuit des Musées’ and the opening of Archizoom’s new exhibition ‘Faraway So Close – Kashef Chowdhury’, Rajrupa Chowdhury – a celebrity in India and Bangladesh – will give a Sarod recital in Hall SG.

As fruit of the musical fusion of India and Persia, the sarod is a jewel of violin making in northern India. Along with the sitar, it is the most popular instrument of Indian classical music. Rajrupa Chowdhury’s mastery of classical music “Khyal” places her among the greatest masters of this tradition and it is a great honour to receive her in Lausanne, accompanied by the great tabla player Prabhu Edouard.
