Laboratory of Nanochemistry

Colloidal nanocrystals – Nucleation and growth mechanisms – Solar-to-chemicals conversion – CO2 electrochemical reduction

The Laboratory of Nanochemistry for Energy (LNCE) focuses on developing novel synthetic routes to tailor-make  multifunctional hybrid materials, based on atomically defined colloidal nanocrystals. We seek for a superior control on structure and composition at multiple length-scales driven by a fundamental understanding of the chemical transformations driving nucleation, growth and assembly. LNCE is an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team motivated by the challenges of energy technologies for a more sustainable society. We are based on the EPFL Valais Campus.
