The Archives de la construction moderne lend documents (plans, models, photographs, manuscripts…) from their collections for temporary exhibitions organized by cultural institutions.
Loan request
To be considered, any loan request must reach us at least six months before the scheduled date for transporting the works to the exhibition venue.
Costs related to the processing of the loan request and the preparation of the documents will be charged to the borrowing institution in accordance with the fees available via this link [PDF].
Interested institutions are invited to contact us to receive a copy of our framework agreement, which outlines all terms and conditions, as well as the forms to be completed to submit a request. We only consider requests submitted in this form.
Request evaluation
Requests are evaluated by the management and conservation staff. This assessment takes into account several criteria, such as the preservation state of the items, their availability for the requested dates, and the planned exhibition conditions.
Overview of conditions*
- The borrower must guarantee presentation and security conditions that preserve the integrity of the works during transport, storage, and the exhibition period, in accordance with Acm guidelines.
- The borrower is responsible for all costs associated with the loan, including transport, insurance, customs fees, and handling of the items.
- The works must be insured “Nail-to-Nail”, ensuring full coverage from their departure from the archives to their return. The borrower assumes all risks related to the loan.
- The reproduction of documents is subject to prior authorization from the ACM.
- In the case of international loans, a guarantee of return from the host state may be required.
- For conservation reasons, the exhibition duration of the works must not exceed 90 days.
