The submission deadline for contributions has been extended to December 31, 2023 to include among others the work presented at DisCoVor 2023 in Breckenridge (USA).
Following on the success of the Remote Colloquium on Vortex Dominated Flows (ReCoVor), we are pleased to announce that the first Direct In-person Colloquium on Vortex Dominated Flows (DisCoVor) will be held in Villars-sur-Ollon in Switzerland from May 17-20, 2022.
As suggested by the name, the colloquium is focused on the flow-physics of unsteady, vortex dominated flows. If the flow is unsteady and it involves multiple interacting vortices that induce important effects on the flow or the system under consideration, then the research belongs in this colloquium. Experimental, computational and/or analytical contributions are all welcome.
Over the course of each of the 4 days, we plan to have one oral presentation session in the morning to present your latest work on vortex dominated flows. We will have additional opportunities for your group to present your work during the poster sessions that are organised throughout the event. The afternoons will be reserved for informal discussions, hikes, a visit to EPFL, and other things we were deprived of for the past 1.5 years.
