Scientific Assistant
Stefana (Fany) Kuzmova is an architect and educator and currently works as a Scientific Assistant at THEMA. Her research explores social infrastructure, community-engaged design, and mapping as a means of understanding overlooked urban and territorial conditions.
Fany studied architecture at the University of Cambridge (BA, 2020) and Yale University (M.Arch I, 2024). Prior to joining THEMA, she was a Design Teaching Fellow at Cornell University (2024–2026), where she taught architectural design studios and seminars. She has also taught undergraduate courses in architecture and urbanism at Yale University and worked in architectural practices in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Her independent research project New Haven, Revisited was exhibited at the New Haven Free Public Library and New Haven City Hall. Work from her seminar Ithaca (un)Seen was exhibited at Cornell AAP in spring 2025.
