Elisa Oricchio’s Lab

Welcome to the Oricchio’s lab

Research in the lab aims at systematically integrating genomic and functional analyses to identify oncogenic events in cancer and to exploit this information for the design of novel therapies

In the lab, we combine genomic analyses of patient samples with functional studies in cell lines and animal models to design rational therapeutic strategies. Recently, we start to uncover how genomic lesions influence chromatin 3D architecture in cancer cells.

In one of the study that we recently published, we investigated how recurrent mutations of EZH2 exploit the 3D organization of the genome to sustain oncogenic programs (Donaldson-Collier et al. Nat. Gen. 2019)
