Dennis Pohl is the Director of the Flanders Architecture Institute (VAi). He previously worked as a  postdoctoral researcher with the Design, Data and Society group at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and served as Research Coordinator at The New Open. Dennis frequently publishes on the intersections of energy, politics, and architecture in the post-war period, and his recent book Building Carbon Europe (Sternberg Press, 2023) examines how architectural design influenced political planning in post-war Europe. He has also held research positions in Berlin, New York, and Frankfurt, supported by prestigious fellowships in the arts and architecture field.
