Shaoxian won Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Student

Published:13.09.23 — Many congratulations to Shaoxian for his fundamental work on elucidating the oxidation mechanism of graphene by scanning tunneling microscopy leading to controlled incorporation of vacancy defects or pores in graphene.

Shaoxian successfully defend his PhD

Published:08.06.23 — Many congratulations to Shaoxian for successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis. The committee, in particular, was impressed with the degree of advance he made in the field of elucidating the mechanism of pore formation in graphene. He is the sixth Ph.D. student from our group.

Our startup on graphene membrane won the 2023 Hack Summit

Published:08.06.23 — Our startup (to be incubated) on carbon capture using graphene membrane won the pitch competition at the Hack Summit, winning a $100k USD investment from HackCapital. An excellent start for incubation and seed funding.

Shaoxian won AIChE Inorganic Materials Graduate Student Award

Mohammad successfully defended his PhD thesis
